Netgear device unlock and imei errors

Hi,

I'm a dongle owner. I had 55 credits. I tried to unlock and to change the imei on a Netgear Nighthawk MR6500. Neither change worked. I got the following error for unlocking:

Unlocking, please wait ...

AT command error

Error code 37

unlock failed !


The imei change also failed with this error:

Repair IMEI...
New IMEI ##############
Connecting to server...
Writing IMEI...

AT command error

I had 55 credits to begin with. I now have 47 credits but was unsuccessful with either attempt.

Should my changes have worked on the mr6500? Or can your software not perform as stated?

Can I get my credits back please?

Please provide your dongle ID. AT error 37 means your device's firmware is not supported for services.

Dongle id # is: 01325226.

Netgear FORCED a firmware update to my MR6500. The firmware version now is: NTGX_12.01.16.01.

If it can't upgrade now because of the fw, is that something you will be able do in the future?

Credits were added back now. We hope a solution will be found, but without updater.exe it is a long shot and if there is no option to roll back the firmware then currently, for this version, services are not available.
