  • Driver Issue w/ Compass 885

    The following is the output from DC Unlocker:

    However - when I try and install the DC Unlocker drivers, it spits out an error that it can't find a specific driver for my hardware. Tested on WinXP SP3 and Windows 7. Modem is locked to Cellcom Israel.

    Be sure you updating USB composite device, not other device

            Check device id's in device manager, must be somthing like : USB\Vid_1199&Pid_6880
            cam be
            USB\Vid_1199&Pid_6880 ........ with extra numbers, but vid and pid must be same.
            Then 885.inf
            modify this line with corect number
            %DeviceDesc%=RapidUSB_DDI, USB\Vid_1199&Pid_6880

              DC Unlocker now can't even see the device (but the modem software can).

                then you upgrade drivers wrong device, what devices in USB section ?

                  I've been able to unlock the datacard -- it seems that the Device ID is actually case sensitive.
