  • ZTE MF60 WiFi (white dongle)

Hello, I'm using the latest version of DC-Unlocker for my ZTE MF60 WiFi (note: NOT the USB!) locked to Telstra.
I tried few times using invalid operator SIM cards (i.e. used a Vodafone and a World Roam Free one) and I get the same answer:

    ---------------------------------------------------
    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1005

    Detecting modem :

    selection :
    manufacturer - ZTE modems
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    modem not found !
    ---------------------------------------------------

    Any useful help?

If you use windows 7 or 8 try this out: run our software as administrator, by clicking right mouse button on DC-Unlocker -> Run as... and select "run as administrator”. Also do this: right click on DC-Unlocker > Properties > Compatibility > Run in compatibility mode with windows XP. Note that device must be connected via cable to pc for it to be detected.

I did as you indicated as I use Windows 7:
      1) inserted an invalid sim card to the MF60
      2) connected the MF60 to pc via USB connection
      3) switched MF60 on (it displayed SIM lock message)
      4) right clicked on DC-Unlocker and set it to run in compatibility mode with windows XP (Pack 3)
      5) Run DC-Unlocker as administrator
      6) selected "ZTE modems"
      7) selected "Auto detect (recommended)"
      8) Run detection

      Response: "modem not found !"

Back to 7), this type selecting "ZTE MF60", and run detection
      Response: "modem not found !"

Back again to 7) again and selected "Unknown ZTE modem", and run detection
      Response: "modem not found !"

      How to proceed from here?

coudl you go to device manager and make a screenshot of it with modems and ports lines spreaded? You can try to detect it manually, you device should appear under modems lines, right click on it there select properties then select modem tab and look what port its written there, it will be Application port. Under ports line there should be a line with DIagnostics port number, it will be your diagnostics port. Try to detect it this way and let us know if it helped.

From another junior member: I just unlocked my ZTE MF60 WiFi modem during today. I had the same issue as yourself, alsife. I found I had to connect to a motherboard direct connected USB port on back of PC and not a cable connected USB port on front of box. Hope this helps.
I just rechecked myself and confirmed what I said above.

          ----manufacturer - ZTE modems
          model - Auto detect (recommended)

          Found modem : MF60
          Model : ZTE MF60
          IMEI : XXXXXX0431639XX
          Firmware : T03
          Compile date / time : Feb 22 2011 14:55:03
          Chipset : Qualcomm MSM8200A
          SIM Lock status : unlocked
