  • MF112 not connecting

Hi I`ve just bought a second hand ZTE MF112 "3mobile" dongle that was advertised as unlocked and it won`t connect using a T Mobile sim, It shows a good signal and the T Mobile identifier using the dashboard that the dongle installs when first inserted. I have also tried the Join Air dashboard And a T Mobile Dashboard that I downloaded and it shows good signal with all of them but will not connect, I have tried several settings and even tried the sim in my friends unlocked mifi dongle which it connects to no problem so I noted all the settings in that and tried them in all dashboards without success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to enter new provider connection settings (apn, username and others). Then you should be able to connect if modem see network.

I`ve tried that even copied the settings (apn ETC ) from the same sim when put in a friends unlocked 3mobiles E5331 mifi device and still no joy been on it for days now trying different combinations of dashboards and settings and I just cant get my head around it, surely if the dashboard shows provider identifier and signal strength on T Mobile it should connect. If I put a 3mobile sim in it connects and tells me that I need to topup and the T Mobile sim recieved 2 text messages welcoming me to T Mobile so I would assume that the dongle is unlocked.

      Regards.

Means you need to topup. You can not connect with card empty sim card (that has no money).

              Hi Vincentas
The 3mobile sim does need topping up but the t mobile sim has 12 months internet all ready activated this is why I can`t understand why it won`t connect.

              Regards.

If device accept other provider sim, means it is unlocked.
Try to check settings. Try other provider or other sim. Maybe there is an y limit from provider for sim that you try. For example to use only in phone.
