I have used Unlocker, for MF637, no charge from credits was made and the status is showing as as unlocked.
After New Sim has been inserted and dongle inserted in USB I am asked for a unlock code, where do I get this, the software states that this can be queried, but from where??

Was there not original/invalid sim card inserted during detection of the device?

Yes, The original Sim was inserted during the detection and the original unlock process and then swopped for the new SIM when the dongle was reinserted in USB, when the dongle was re-inserted with the new SIM, the unlock code request was shown

No sir, you should have insert not original/ invalid sim before detect/unlock procedure. Then detect device and it should say sim lock status: Locked. Then you'll be able to unlock your device.
