Hi, I Purchased a brand new ZTE-MF70A tonight at 8:22 and after playing with it a bit i got on the Whirlpool forum to ask about unlocking it. The guys pointed me in your direction and like a good little boy i read your FAQs and it said "download and scan your modem to check if it is supported(recommended) ", So i did just that.
I clicked Modem-ZTE modems, Model-auto detect(recommended) and clicked on the magnifying glass. Result, It detected my modem and promptly rendered it useless, No GUI, Won't auto install drivers and in Device manager now comes up as Other devices "ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM" with the yellow exclamation point!.
It is now 2:43 am and i am a little frustrated, I have searched through dozens of forums and saw one virtually identical(no joy) except for the fact that i did not even attempt to unlock my modem, I just replaced the not yet activated Telstra SIM with an Optus one, Scanned it and POW-dead modem.
Would very much like to see your reply/advice about that!.
P.s: It Still seems to broadcast an SSID so maybe i didn't just blow $60 and 5 1/2 hours of my life?. HELP.

If you see device in device manager with "?" or "!" marks it means you need to reinstall device's drivers as it is not correctly recognized by pc at the moment. Uninstall current drivers by right clicking on your device in device manager and selecting "Uninstall.." and try to install these ones here - https://files.dc-unlocker.com/backen...62AB3E0D409A36

THANK YOU KINDLY, Checked for drivers, even hidden ones and nada. Unpacked and ran the self extracting file you sent and clicked next in chinese a few times. Watched while my device was installed. Opened DC-Unlocker and clicked Unlock then clicked Disable Diagnostic port and then OK.
My computer immediately beeped removed, Beeped inserted and "presto".
My modem now works like a new one.

I had this problem so did all that. "!" marks against the modem in device manager so uninstalled from device manager, downloaded and installed the drivers.

MF70 plugged into computer via USB cords. Still the same issue in device manager but the drivers appear to be installed (attachment).

        Still same message on DC-unlocker.
