    Hi,

I have unlocked over 150 devices no issue, but the MF823 application port wont install no matter which PC (tried 3).

It has AT interface (or NMEA on win 8) and Diagnostics interface.

Unlock software always says can't find application port.

This is the Telstra Branded Version.

    Can you help?

Have you tried to detect it manually? Or just attempted auto detect?

I have done manually, using the AT port as a port number or NMEA port. This ends up with Modem not found if I do it this way. The Auto way gives the application port Error.

Then maybe modems connection software is not closed when you try to detect it? Does device appears under modems line in device manager?

Yes appears under modem. This device is "softwareless" so no software open. Have tried with drivers on DC-Locker site and ZTE site.

Check in Computer/My Computer area if modem has its drive/cdrom visible there, if it has right click on it and select eject, then attempt to detect again. Also are there more modems or phones connected to pc? Modem that you try to detect has invalid sim in it from operator that it does not work with?

No CD Rom no phones, and invalid operator sim inserted.

Tried on 2 computers, Win 7 and Win 8.1 similar results.

Right click on mf823 line that is under modems section, select properties/modems, see there what com port is shown, it will be your Application com port. Open DC-Unlocker software, select model manually, then write in Application com port from mentioned loaction, Diagnostics com port should be visible under ports line. Try to detect it then.

Should say, I did that, selected in the dropdown list.

But still: modem not found !

If autodetect: Application Port not found.

Does it also appear in device manager under network adapters or only under modems and under ports lines? What version of DC-Unlocker you are using?

Just under modem and ports. Not under network adapters.

You sure that you have tried to detect manually by my mentioned steps as below you only tried to detect it with AT/NMEA ports.

If you are sure you performed those steps correctly then try to reinstall modem on pc using our drivers from support area https://www.dc-unlocker.com/file-lis...ms_and_Routers then check detection again.

                            Same Problem Here MF823 Telstra

initially the device was recognised as a Network adaptor in Device Manager. after Loading the unzipped drivers on your link above, it now appears as a modem in Device Manager.

DC Unlocker does not recognised the device after all the above steps. DC can see a diagnostic port on port 30, but can not identify the modem. Enabling/Disabling the diag port does not change anything.

I have tried 3 Windows 7 64bit computers and one windows XP computer. Same result each time.

Device is locked to the Telstra (Australia) network.
Device still works fine with Telstra Sim Card, but I would like to use a cheaper one.

I successfully unlocked a MF70 last week, but can not get DC unlocker to see the MF823.

                            Help Please.

                              Result print out.

For correct ZTE modem detection, please plug modem with invalid operator SIM inserted. Wait till software starts the modem, close ZTE software and then you can detect modem with DC-Unlocker.

                              DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1084

                              Detecting modem :

                              model - Auto detect (recommended)
