  • ZTE MF28D - No router response in Unlocker client

I tried to unlock my ZTE MF28D using ZTE Unlocker client (v1.0008) and this was the output:

Ping test to router (192.168.32.1)... OK
Switching router to FTM mode... failed!
    FTM setup 1... OK
    FTM setup 2... OK
    FTM setup 3... OK
    Activating FTM mode... OK
    Waiting for router response... failed!

I tried with original SIM, SIM from another operator and no SIM at all. All resulted in the same problem, i.e. no response from router (last row in output).

Please advise on how to proceed. Thank you!

Guide to detect it is here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/zte-mf28...d-unlock-guide make sure you restart router after each failed attempt to detect it otherwise all the rest of attempts will end up with an error.

Yes, I have followed the exact steps described in the guide. The router is detected (by initial ping) but I still get the "Switching router to FTM mode... failed!" and "Waiting for router response... failed!". The other operations in between, including ping, get a green OK so I assume there is connection to the router.

            MF28g

It looks like this everytime. But MF28D was no problem to unlock.
Does anybody know why, it is nearly the same routers

Try to disable the firewall in your computer.

If I run the client in MF612 mode it asks me to configure the network card to 192.168.0.x subnet. The router is obviously listening to 192.168.32.x subnet which means that I can't access it. My router is locked to Comviq in Sweden at the moment.

Yes, i know. The Comviq router is a MF28D and its default adress is 192.168.32.1. I was talking about a MF28G. That one was unlocked in MF612 mode in the unlocker program. I only had to tell the program the routers adress (192.168.1.1)

Thanks for the tip but I tried disabling Windows firewall (the only firewall running on my computer) and got the same result.

Forgot to include that I get Error code = 151 in DC Unlocker.
