I used DC UNLOCKER 2 to detect Vodafone Egypt ZTE K4201-z

I couldn't even advance to the unlock phase

I later read in the forum that it can't be unlocked which seemed sad enough

the problem now is that my laptop can't recognize it anymore

even after downloading the driver referred to by the forum

the driver said that the hash of the catalog file has been tampered as seen in the screen shot

has it died??? will Vodafone accept a replacement? is my warranty void??

Detecting does not change to your modem. Try to check for other drivers then.

I did nothing more than detecting

However, I reached a solution

I was on windows 8.1 and yesterday I installed win 8

the drivers worked fine BUT

the dongle is known as modem and is NOT recognized by vodafone software

I just made a new dial up connection

Now it is working fine

If you used enable diagnostic port function in dc-unlocker software, then you should use dissable diagnostic port now and it mshould be abck to normal.
