  • ZTE MF636BP -Locked bands ?

I've unlocked the a ZTE MF636BP on Australian Telstra Bigpond network successfully.Using the original dashboard with the new sim I get full signal but can' use it untill I register?( i assume for roaming) (when it was locked I just got invalid sim). I installed generic dashboard but only get umts , very poor signal and unable to connect. How can I check if all bands are unlocked or maybe other problem./

    Thx's

Maybe your provider has low signal in your area, thats why get only umts. Or maybe it is modem problem. If can not connect, need to enter new provider connection settings (APN, username and others).

      not low signal area.

When i used the original dashboard i got v/good signal with my new sim but was not able to connect. With the new dashboard I get poor signal.I did check setting as you suggested, this did help getting connected but nothing for signal strength.Any way I can check if all bands are working or unlocked?

      Thxs

Please specify: with old dashboard you were not able to connect or to register network? These 2 are different. And you write different in your posts.
If you were not able to connect, but sim was accepted, then install old dashboard back, enter new provider settings (APN, username and other and you will be able to connect).

Was not able to connect with original dashboard.
Have being able to connect with new dashboard, still mainly UMTS signal.
Diagnostics on dashboard shows signal strenght 12/99.
Dc Un-locker says you can unlock all bands but can find this setting, or even to check?
          Any way of checking bands.?

Check settings for new dashboard. Maybe there is only umts selected.
Dc-unlocker has no function to enable bands for zte modems. We have never had that bands would be disabled.
