Steps to get Vodafone sim working on my KPN ZTE mf628 modem

Sorry if its a stupid question but I'm not sure if I'm got this right:

1. DC Unlocker says this:
Found modem : MF628
Model : ZTE MF628
IMEI : 352449025222509
Firmware : BD_KPNP671M5V1.0.0B06
SIM Lock status : unknown(read failed)

So that means it's not locked right? I on the forum that unkown lock status means there is no lock.

2. The provider I got with this modem is KPN, but I also have a sim card in my phone from vodafone. This sim card has HSDPA internet with no bandwidth limit so I should be able to put it in the modem, is this correct? Will vodafone allow this? Do I maybe have to spoof an IMEI number? If yes how do I do this?

3. What are the steps to get the vodafone card working with the modem? Can I do this by flashing the modem with the unbranded ZTE software on your website? What more do I need?

I already bought 10 credits but I think I won't even need them if the modem is not even locked right?! Or do I need to unlock the simcard?

1 - Yes, most of all modem is unlocked.
2 - Yes, the sim should work in modem, if Vodafone has no restrictions.
2 - Downlaod and install this software: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/ZTE/Software
Enter new provider settings: APN, username and other and create profile with these settings. You can check here for settings: http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6669

If modem accept other provider sim cards, then it is not loced and you do not need to unlock it. We can offer you refund or you can spend credits unlocking other modem. If you choose refund, write me your username.

With the information about APN and username and password I could get the KPN branded software on the modem to login to Vodafone, guess I dont even need to flash

I just put in my vodafone sim, created a profile with Vodafone apn, username and password and I'm online

I'm getting a nice 2-2.5 megabit download speed out of my phone's simcard, but it's officially only allowed to be used in my phone!
Do you think they will send me a data bill for using it in my computer modem? And do you think they can see through the imei number or anything else that its not my phone doing the downloading?
