  • ZTE MF833V no longer recognised after trying to detect in DC-Unlocker

I have a ZTE MF833V that I tried to unlock.
I placed different operator SIM and I selected the ZTE as manufacturer and left model as Auto Detect. I clicked on the detect icon to detect the modem.
DC-Unlocker did not detect the modem and in turn the modem is no longer detectable by the PC. I can see ZTE in device manager, however it is no longer recognised.

The modem is no longer showing up under network adapters as an ethernet adapter like it used to before.
Is there a way to fix this? Is the modem bricked?
Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to look for your device's USB drivers now, after you install it, it will pop up under the ports/modems section in the device manager after which you can unlock it or disable the diagnostic port in the Unlocking tab which will make the device to return to network adapter mode.

Thank you for your response. I have managed to get it to work after spending some time locating the correct USB drivers. They were a bit hard to find.
This website had the right drivers.
