  • DC-unlocker fails to detect mf332

I purchased an MF332 of the internet, Telstra branded. Initially I tried to upgrade the firmware on XP SP3 but this failed and then when connecting to the Telstra software the light on the modem would not go green. So I then built another laptop with XP SP2 and the upgrade appeared to work. Ie when I run the ugrade again it says already upgraded and the new version of the telstra software appears to work and the light on the modem goes green. Unfortunately I do not have a telstra sim (to check to see if the thing works at all with Telstra) and dc - unlocker fails to detect the card. Also Join Air program fails to detect the card (and it did before the upgrade). When I place my optus sim in the card telstra software does not start properly. Is it time to throw the card away? Any suggestions? I understand that the procedure is supposed to be start the card with the Join Air or the Telstra? software, then shut that down and start dc-unlocked with the foreign sim in) and to select the com ports 12 and 13. (I have tried on XPsp3 and XPsp2 Thanks for any help.

If the firmware upgrade failed, it may be that it damaged your modem. If you bought credits for dc-unlocker, we can offer you refund, just write your username.

I see you bought from reseller, not directly from us. Then you should contact the reseller you bought credits from for refund.

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

              MF332 unlocking

Check, if the drivers are installed....done, installed

Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet...definetly not connected, the light on the modem is red, this is only connection to internet I have

Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software.....have done auto-detection, manual choice of mf332,changing ports no luck

Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.....1.00.0496 installed

Check, if not oher modems are connected at detect time. Also cehck, if the connection software is not left running in background (no connection software icon near the clock). If that does not help, try detecting on other computer.
