02 MF100 - Probelms after unlocking

Hi, I have a MF100 which I unlocked.

Using the O2 connection manager on my vista machine - it struggles to pick up any connected networks - if it does it shows them as low signal. Yet, I know the signal is good. If i get it to connect, the connection speed is good.

Similar issues also on XP machine.

I tried dashboard version of software - it doesnt even see device (although I only unloaded the sofwtare and ran - I dint save to the dongle)

any thoughts

If modem accept other provider sim cards, then is unlocked for sure. try to use this software: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/ZTE/Software
Do not uninstall original software. Connect modem, wait till original software starts, then close it and run this software.

The issue I was having was on my Vista machine...

Device showing all green LEDs and flashing (which I think showed connected).

However...
O2 Connection manager kept terminating
Other software showed no device
When it did work showed low signal

Tried on my XP machine..
-O2 connection manager wouldnt connect - but I guess it didnt like service I had on my o2 SIM comapred with that pre-configured
-using alternative software on XP ..it works and ignal strneth on O2 and t-mobile correct (high) as it should be...

Not sure if its something with my Vista machine but seems OK on XP

You need to connect modem, wait till original software starts, then close it, then run software from our web page. Or, if you can run original software, but it not connect, you need to check the connection settings (apn,username and others).
