mf627 invalid sim

hi,
I have a 3 branded ZTE MF627.
On dc-unlocker says that's already unlocked. But when I try to use it with a vodafone sim the 3 software says "invalid sim" and won't register it to the network.

has it happened to anyone? how can I solve it?

I think I was able to unlock my MF627 (sim status showed "unlocked" )...however i cannot connect using the original branded software because of invalid sim message...so i uninstalled the branded software and installed the MF622 not customized software downloaded from your website...I also inputed the various configuration details available from your website link...I think the MF622 software is not working...can you please advise what are the other options available to make it work...many thanks

as a follow up to my earlier post, my unlocked MF627 can now recognized the sim card using the branded software but still unable to connect....under the not customized MF622 software the sim card is still not detected and no connection could be made...any suggestions please....thanks

I have one of these...please I not understand...normally it's in reversed state...unbranded-recognized.....branded-non detected...I can check nextly

I was able to connect using the branded software but the connection is so slow...maybe because of the weak signal I was receiving (3g 1 bar only)....I will try the unbranded software again later and will post the results...thanks

I can now confirm that the unbranded software does not detect my MF627 nor recognize the inserted sim card.....however on the branded software I can now connect at a much higher connection speed (signal is 3g 1 bar)....I was able to do this by changing the settings of the branded software i.e. by setting the network selection to manual and adding the details of my sim card in the config file of the software...I will post any new developments that I will encounter....thanks

bry82 - you can't use the 3 software! (the file that needs changing is locked within the software application for this modem model and i can't be bothered hacking it)

Download the 622 software listed on this site and then add a config file to suit your network apn's etc

Works for me!

unbranded software MF622 does not work for me.....maybe because of incorrect config files....appreciate if you could supply config file details for Globe Telecoms Philippines which I could try....many thanks

I've been using the config files details from that link since the time i unlocked my modem but it"s not working...hope you can provide something else to try with....thanks

ZTE modem not detecting

Hi.. you can try doing this. (but keep in mind this problem maybe only for me)

1. first uninstall the branded software, then restart the machine.
2. Install the Non customized software
3. Then again install the branded software. (This should be done while modem is pluged). Do not restart the machine, after the branded software is installed.
4. Close the barnded software connection mannager if its starts automaticly. 5. Start the Non custermized software
(now it should show 3g netowrk signal).

Note: If you take the modem out and re-plug it you will not get the signal again. unless you follow the same step again.

Concusion something to do with the driver for the modem.

thanks for you suggestion....however in doing step 3, when installing the branded software, the installed not customized software is removed. It appears that only one version of the software can be installed.
