How to debrand ZTE MF112 ?

Hi,
I have used the DC-unlocker software (and dongle) to unlock a ZTE MF112 dongle that was originally on 3UK. This has worked fine.

My question is how to remove the 3connect software and replace it with the generic JOIN AIR from ZTE ?

I know I can download the JOIN AIR software from dc-unlocker/downloads.

The thing is I tried to debrand an MF112 in the past and it got bricked.

I would just like some step by step instructions or some assurance that the DC-unlocker software will not do the same

You need do start dc-unlocker software. Detect modem. Then select read dashboard. You curerent dashboard will be readed. You will be able to write it back if write dashboard fails or in does not work. After that select write dashboard. Select dashboard file you wqant to write (dashboard file to write you can download here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/open/55) and click write.
If the written dashboard does not work, write back original dashboard.

Do not forget to read old dashboard. In case something goes wrong you always can write dashboard you have readed.

read flash failed

I tried reading the flash and it said "unknown response".
On other occasion, it said "cannot connect to server".

What am I supposed to do ?

Also, when I READ the flash, what file type should I use (CD Image, pff, txt.....) ???

You need to use read dashboard, not to read flash. Read dashboard you should see under unlock tab in dc-unlocker software after you detect modem.

where's the READ DASHBOARD button ?

I went to the UNLOCK tab and there is no READ DASHBOARD button. Just a button to unlock the dongle.
But it's already unlocked !!!

Where am I supposed to find this button ?

I think you need to select the Flash tab (which just has a "Read Flash" button) then the Detect button...and the read and write dashboard buttons should appear by magic
