  • DC-Unlocker cannot find ZTE K3570Z

I have a vodafone UK K3570Z (by ZTE).
    I have the DC-unlocker dongle.

I have installed the original vodafone software from the stick. The dongle is detected OK by the software and all works fine.

I also have JOIN AIR on the PC and it also detects the stick fine.

I have closed both JOIN AIR and Vodafone Software and started DC-UNLOCKER. When I try to detect the stick, it says it cannot find datacard.
This is even when the green light is still flashing in the stick.

    Can anyone help ?

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

Also can try to use enable diagnostic port function in dc-unlocker software before detecting by autodetect.

      Hi Vincentas,

Surely the drivers are installed, otherwise I could not operate the dongle from the vodafone software.

Yes, I made sure the connection software is closed.

What is the auto-detect function ?

Yes, I use the latest version of dc-unlocker

Auto detect means you do not need to select modem model. Leave it autodetect.

Also can try to use enable diagnostic port function in dc-unlocker software before detecting by autodetect.

Hi, I have a Vodafone UK ZTE k3570z usb stick. I have downloaded the DC Unlocker client software. When I insert the USB Stick and click on the magnifying glass icon in the application it says Modem not found. I really need to unlock this.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

                1.Make sure drivers are installed.

                3.Use Autodetect.
4.Make sure modem is not connected to internet.
                5.Try restarting your computer.
6.If the problem still exists, try other computer

Close original Vodafone software, go to "my computer", right click on CD (this from K3570z) and click "EJECT"
You hear USB disconnect sound and after few second connect sound, wait few seconds more
                  Now click MAGNIFIER in DC-unlocker.

                    To ADMIN

                    Hi,

Sorry for the delay in reply. I have tried all the methods,

                    1. Plug modem into PC.
                    2. Wait for modem to be connected, there I am prompted to Install VMB Lite. I close that dialogue box. open my computer>>>right click on VMB Lite virtual drive, then eject it.
                    4. Then on DC-Unlocker I try to detect the modem by clicking on the magnifying glass but I get reply Modem not found. Oh yeah and I have tried inserting a non vodafone UK and India Sim in the device with no luck.

Does your modem appear in "Modems" section in Device Manager before you are trying to detect it?
