  • ZTE MF637 - Disable diagnostic port

Being newbie means sometimes doing stupid things.

I clicked "Enable Diagnostic Port" and right after that my computer wouldn't recognise my modem. It picked up ZTE Diagnostics Interface (COM9) and ZTE NMEA Device (COM10) in device manager.

After some research I've found this link: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3217

Launched the command which terminated with succes: AT+ZCDRUN=F

In device manager: ZTE Diagnostics Interface (COM4) and ZTE NMEA Device (COM5) but DC-Unlocker says that for ports Application COM6 and diagnostic COM4. Is this normal ?

Now I can see the usb modem as a removable disk but when I click it says
"please insert a disk into drive ..."

    What can be done?

Also, can someone explain to me what that command used earlier is doing or maybe a link

The log generated by DC-Unlocker client

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0575

    Detecting card :

    selection :
    manufacturer - ZTE modems
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found modem : MF637
    Model : ZTE MF637
    IMEI : 356516029625139
    Firmware : BD_P673A3V1.1.2B01
    Compile date / time : Feb 02 2010 09:51:21
    Chipset : Qualcomm MSM6290
    SIM Lock status : unlocked
    Tnx in advance for answers!

Why you are doing this? This is for dissable diagnostic port that was enabled for unlock.

I tried the same AT+ZCDRUN=F command to disable the diagnose port. This completed successfully. But after that only once my modem was detected, the next time I plugged in the device modem was undetected. My laptop can now only detect the virtual cd-rom
