  • Zte f160 ... At&t f160

I have a locked ZTE F160 and my computer doesn`t recognize the phone
when I plug it in to a usb port. So when I run the DC - Unlocker 2 Client
1.00.0616 software it says phone not found.
Do I need to install some drivers or software to get my computer to recognize
the phone when connected by usb ?
    Thanks

Yes, you need to install drivers. Without installing drivers can not detect.

      Zte f160 ... At&t f160

After a few hours a got my ZTE F160 to be recognized by the DC-unlocker
software. I installed and used Motorola phone tools from my Razr V3 and
I guess this is what got the phone to finally be recognized.

      I used the Client 1.00.0616 and auto detect - Ports - Application = COM5
      Diagnostic = COM6

Is there a place to get firmware for the ZTE F160 and get rid of the USA-AT&T branding-firmware ? Is this even possible ?

      Thanks for the help, Joe.

tahkuct .......... I used software called Motorola Phone Tools, MPT, to get
my computer to finally recognize my ZTE F160 phone and my old Motorola
Razr V3. It`s on the Motorola web site. Goodluck.

Tahkuct sorry for your lack of success, I`m not an expert on cell phones or
computers, maybe you can consult an expert friend or phone store/computer
                store ?
For me after running the MPT software DC-Unlocker could now see my phone
and indicated it could be unlocked, but I haven`t done it yet, still waiting for
someone to find a free way , Goodluck !

This phone is supported and can be unlocked by dc-unlocker. How to use dc-unlocker you can watch here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/tutorials
