Re: new dashboard or firmware after unlocking ZF668

Hi, there, please give me some instruction.

Currently, I have ZTE MF668 USB modem with Rogers, a Canadian service provider. I am going to unlock it for my trip to EU, since a prepaid SIM card there is much cheaper than a roaming plan.

My question is, what should I do about the Rogers Branded Connection Manager software after unlocking. As I noticed, the installation automatically started while plugging in at first time. I am not sure if it could work with SIM card from other providers. How can I to change it to a ZTE generic connection manager? Do I need to update/flash a new ZTE firmware? Any advice or experience would be appreciated!

You can try to write new dashboard by dc-unlocker.
You need do start dc-unlocmer software. Detect modem. Then select read dashboard. You current dashboard will be readed. You will be able to write it back if write dashboard fails or in does not work. After that select write dashboard. Select dashboard file you want to write (dashboard file to write you can download here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/open/55) and click write.
If the written dashboard does not work, write back original dashboard.
