Great! Stick got successfully unlocked! Thought it never would
Next problem: now the stick is not found on my laptop any longer. Any ideas where I can get software for ZTE stick for Mac?

Maybe you have enabled diagnostic port before unlock? This may cause why computer does not detect modem.

I erased all Comviq software and now the computer does not find the modem.

Install it back. Drivers come with software. This may be problem why computer does not find modem.

No it installed itself and does not do this any more... no additional software.
