Before installing every of these managers, make sure that the original Vodafone connection manager is also installed.

The first and the last one both work for all my SIMs. Thnaks heaps. Why do you think vodafone branded software fails to detect these? - anything i can do?

The reason why Vodafone did this is the same as why it locked the modem - because users could not use other SIM cards.

But there is one thing I didnt understand - did Vodafone connection software recognized your Vodafone SIM card? If not, then it means there were problems somewhere else.

Thanks. I tried vodafone software woth vodafone sim it tried to look for netwrok and stops and asks me to select network manually. ( mind you i am overseas currently) - but the ZTE software you gave, detects a local network and says roaming.

On thr flip side, when i put a another local operatos sim, the vodafone software works fine (thats the only one that works currently with this vosa software)

        What are your imputs? thanks.

          Gintas,

I have taken two more screen shots for your perusal.

          Look a the screen shots
Dialog1- that’s a local operator it connects to
Vodafine1- that’s the roaming SIM (no credit) - trying to connect but does not say SIM unrecognized unlike other local sims.

As I see from your previous post, your connection software has a Vodafone and Dialog logos on it. Maybe the software is branded by these two providers? So maybe this is the reason why it accepts only Dialog SIM cards. Anyway, I am sorry, but I do not know much about these dashboard things, so I do not want to give you false information.
I am glad that I could help you with advising to install other connection software, which you say works with all SIM cards.
