ZTE MF627 USB Modem is unavailable.

I have updated the firmware and unlocked the USB Modem. It asks for PIN and I can send and receive messages. However when I try to connect to the internet it states USB Modem is Unavailable. I can only get UMTS signal where I am and I still think that is enough for internet browsing.

I am currently using Windows 7 Ultimate on a laptop. please help. I am a little annoyed that I can't use this as I want to be on holiday with this dongle. I have installed and re-installed it about 10 times already, this includes other connection managers (which are nearly the same as all the others).

Was modem unlocked by dc-unlocker?

Nope I used a firmware updater and unlocked it that way. It was doing the same thing before the firmware update. So a bit confused as to why it should still do it.

Sorry, if the modem was not unlocked with DC-Unlocker, then we cannot know what could be wrong.
