  • Big problems with ZTE MF112 (3UK)

    Hi there,

i have unlocked a ZTE MF112 (3UK) all ok and after that i was try to put the generic dashboard (JoinAIR) for ZTE MF112 from dc-files. All was OK dashboard.iso file was written successfully to the modem but the problem is now if the modem is inserted first ask first for ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM driver and not show Virtual CD first to install the driver/software. Virtual CD is mounted and i can install the modem drivers and software from there. Now after that when i start the software JoinAIR it appear DEVICE IS DISCONECTED and not show the signal bar and operator name (card is OK on another modem and PIN code is disabled on it). If i install the 3UK original software (it can be downloaded as setup.exe from 3UK site) the modem is detected OK and is working. What can i do to fix the problem above and make it detected and working with JoinAIR too ? Also how i can stop it to ask for ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM ? Thank you very much !

Then you will need to leave original software installed and only then use join air or any other.
Or try to install drivers from original software manually (only drivers).

I know thet but what can i do to not ask me to install manually the ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM instead to launch the CDROM and install them from there. Is this because the bad dashboard or because corrupted firmware ?

I was find a solution for the first problem with ask for drivers instead launch virtual CD-Rom. I was send AT+ZCDRUN=8 with DC Unlocker and this was solved the problem. Still looking for solution for the second problem with original ZTE dashboard because the modem it appear still disconnected when start JoinAIR .

Join air may show modem disconnected because there are any drivers missing it it that original software has.
Try to check for other join air version. Maybe it has all drivers for your modem.

I use Windows XP and the drivers are installed correctly from the dashboard because as i say the dc-unlocker it detect the modem with that drivers (also is working if i set a dial-up connection using the ZTE MF122 Modem and dial on *99#). The only problem remain is when i start the Join-Air the modem is report as DEVICE IS DISCONECTED with a valid card inserted into the slot and PIN code disabled. Anyway i was try four dashboard i was found on the net and with all of them is the same . The only solution to get it working with a "dashboard" is to install the drivers as above and after that to install manually the 3UK software for MF122 available on their page. Into this way the modem is detected and is working. So do you have any idea ?

When you use join air and it say that device disconnected, do you see device in device manager under modems and ports sections?

Yes it is show in Windows Device Manager. I do not know why the JoinAir it not initialize it.

Yes, I know that you see it there. But are you sure you see it under modems and ports sections? Maybe only in modems or only in ports or somewhere else?

If these screenshots are made at same time when join air writes that modem is disconnected, then sorry, do not know what may be wrong.
Try to check for other dashboard update file.

Does device manager looks same (you see modem under modems and ports) when join air writes that device is disconnected?
