  • Made a mistake flashed the MF636

I unlocked my Cellcom (Israel) MF636 fine the DC-unlocker. Then I tried to use the modem with ATT here in Puerto Rico, but only detected EDGE and not 3G.

So... I installed a flash from telstra, and now I'm screwed.

This is the info on DC-unlocker:

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0291

    Detecting card :

    selection :
    manufacturer - ZTE
    model - Auto detect

    Found modem : MF636
    Model : ZTE MF636
    IMEI : 352847024132191
    Firmware : M01
SIM Lock status : Unknown (Invalid SIM lock data)

    Any sugestions on fixing this?

    Thanks.

You mean you have upgrade the wrong firmware? Now what is the status?is it taking the drivers or not?

It takes the drivers, but won't let me use any SIM card. It says the SIM card is invalid.

You have to upgrade the original firmware again. But no public firmware is available for ZTE.When you detect the modem, did you insert the locked sim? Please insert the locked sim (different operator) and try to detect the modem by DC Unlocker and post the logs.

With the original Cellcom USIM (Telstra drivers installed by flashed modem):

          manufacturer - ZTE
          model - ZTE MF636
          application port - COM4
          diagnostic port - COM3

          Found modem : MF636
          Model : ZTE MF636
          IMEI : 352847024132191
          Firmware : M01
SIM Lock status : Unknown (Invalid SIM lock data)

With AT&T 3G SIM (Telstra drivers installed by flashed modem):

          Detecting card :

          selection :
          manufacturer - ZTE
          model - Auto detect

          Found modem : MF636
          Model : ZTE MF636
          IMEI : 352847024132191
          Firmware : M01
SIM Lock status : Unknown (Invalid SIM lock data)

The connection manager (telstra and Cellcom) says:

          "Please use correct (U)SIM"

could you try to use unbranded conenction software? You can download it here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/open/46
enter your provider connenction settings and try to connect.

I've tried the software before flashing and the drivers did not detect the MF636. I tried it again, and the same happened.

Yes, we want a flash solution from DC Unlocker for flashing ZTE Modems.

                          Any resolution to this?

I too have flashed with the m01 firmware and am getting the invalid sim lock message.

My original fimware was an unlocked Rogers firmware.

                          Thanks

Is there any way to unlock the m01 firmware?

Is says invalid sim lock data.

I don't really care about flashing it back to the old firmware- just want to unlock it.

                            Thanks
