Zte ac30

Hi recently purchased a AC30,was planning to use it with a 3G card in singapore,how do I go about unlocking it.I have already installed the DC unlocker client V1.00.0805,but it cant seem to detect the modem,
DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0805
Detecting card :
selection :
manufacturer - ZTE modems
model - Auto detect (recommended)
modem not found !

DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0805

Now how do I go about unlocking the modem and is it necessary to purchase the credits and how much would it cost.Thanks alot..Sorry Newbie here..

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software

If you will not be able to detect this modem by dc-unlocker, you will not be able to unlock it also.

I'm trying to figure out which modem to buy, so that's not a very helpful response.

DC-Unlocker can unlock GSM part of this modem.
Some users might have problems with detecting these modems. So that is why we ask first to try to detect it.

I used dcunlockrr version ....763 client2 to unlock my ate ac30 5 spot.

I am using 687 and it is not recognizing the device. Can you please help in going through the procedure completely so that I can unlock the device. I would like to be able to unlock the GSM side and if I cannot, I will return the item.

I had a hard time myself first plug up the ac30 to computer, go to control. Panel
Go to device manager click on computer then in top left corner click the action
Then click scan for hardware changes make sure device is configured for ate proprietary
Modem. After that when u open up dcu and when enabling diag port try to manually
Change the port numbers u may have to see which ports are what in device manager
Either diagnostic or action make sure they r the same on dcu as in device manager.
Let me know how that works out.

Do you see your modem in device manager in ports and modems? Or only as cd-rom?
If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:

Thanks to both of you. I followed your instructions and successfully unlocked Verizon Fivespot. I have a further problem now after unlocking the hot spot. I do not see any wifi signals and I cannot go to the home page - 192.168.0.1. I seem to have all drivers properly. Any help will be appreciated.

Did you use enable diagnostic port function before detecting and unlocking it?

I am not sure, but I think I have not opened the diagnostic port before unlocking. I set the port numbers for the application and the diagnostics as were shown in the device manager and searched for the device and then unlocked it. I still am not able to connect to the device. When I connect through the USB and try http;?/192.16.0.1 (disconnecting the wifi connection for the netbook), I get the response - 'not connected to internet'. If I remove it from the USB port and power it back, I do not see the device in the list of wifi signals present. I do not have Verizon subscription and I do not have any working SIM with data plan.

Now that u r unlocked download zte end user update tool. Install on your comp
After install connect ac30 via USB cable to comp and run update tool. That should take
Care of that. Let me know how u come out
