Just a quick question. If you write a dashboard to a dongle and it's successful should there be an autorun function for that dahsboard when you plug it in thereafter? thanks in advance

Depends on what files are in the dashboard.Originally posted by Eiresans View PostJust a quick question. If you write a dashboard to a dongle and it's successful should there be an autorun function for that dahsboard when you plug it in thereafter? thanks in advance
Also, it depends on your windows Autorun settings.

If you are trying to make a dashboard for Huawei modems, you can do it with our tool Huawei Dashboard creator/writer.Originally posted by Eiresans View PostIs there a way to add files to a dashboard in order to create an autorun function? Is there any easy way to create a dashboard disk image from the downloadable dashboard folders on this website?
Thanks in advance
You can include all files that you want with this tool.
Note that this tool requires some advanced knowledge about dashboards, so if you are not sure that you can do it, do not use the software.
Read more about it here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7393

Hi,
thanks for the info, but it's zte devices I'm working with. I found a compatible dashboard but I'm having problems now. I wrote this dashboard to one dongle, it won't autorun and the computer tells me to look for drivers. With the dashboard preinstalled this modem works fine.
At the same time, with another dongle, same model, that I flashed with telstra firmware but dc unlock wrote the same dashboard the autorun capability functions fine, drivers are installed and it shows up in windows device manager. However, this dongle picks up no signal. The dashboard only ever says "starting device" and goes no further. If I run dc unlocker on it it gives out this---
Detecting card :
selection :
manufacturer - ZTE datacards
model - ZTE MF636
unknown responce!
Can you explain to me the problem here? Thanks

I am not sure what exactly could be wrong, maybe the dashboard for that modem is not suitable.Originally posted by Eiresans View PostHi,

Try to detect modem with latest DC-Unlocker: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/6Ua20gVI
Also, select model: Autodetect

Hi,
since the last message I tried to update the firmware on the dongle that failed to autorun. It failed but if I ask any updater software it says that it is no longer the original firmware. Without going rewriting the dashboard to it there is still no autorun function.
Here are the logs:

Thanks for all your time and help
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.
