Ordered a Huawei K3520 through Vodafone, because it depends (here on the forums) this one was factory unlocked.
The Generic Dashboard went well on my Windows XP 64bit core OS, with a VMware XP Pro 32bit Virtual Machine on it. (tested it before with a K3520)
Today I received my order, and it seems I wasn't able to get the status out of the card with DC-unlocker.
On the forums:
I read: "Insert the locked sim in to the modem and select the ZTE as manufacturer and detect the modem."
There I realized I didn't received a Huawei but ZTE. I'm very disappointed with the Generic Dashboard and "support" here in the scene.
They advertised with a Huawei K3520 (also on the Vodafone invoice).
I have seven days for free of charge change.
Is manufacturer Huawei linked with manufacturer ZTE? Why does Vodafone sell 2 of the same modelnumbers (K3520 and K3520-Z)? Is that because these DataCards are "custommade" for vodafone?
