Huawei HiSilicon Firmware Writer

Hi - I'm a dongle user new to the forum.

I'm getting the following exception lately every time I plug-in E3372 to change firmware that eventually closes the program.
"List Index out of bounds (0)"

I never encountered this before. Earlier I thought that this has to do with the expired support - which I've now extended already, but it isn't that.

Can some one please help urgently?

why does the hisilicon writer requires for accounts name and pswd
if i enter them correctly too it says connection fails.

I have E5786S-63A, which on paper should support LTE bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 28 and 40. However, the variant that I got (from STC) only has bands 1, 3 and 40 enabled.

I'm interested in utilizing LTE band 28 (FDD 700 MHz) as it's the least congested frequency used in my area. I have confirmed this using my iPhone 7+, which has this band (28) enabled.

It seems that telecom has disabled this band on purpose. So here are my questions:
1. Is it possible to enable this band without firmware update?
2. If not, is it possible to update the firmware from another carrier to enable this band?

I would prefer to know these answers first hand before purchasing any credits.
