The problem here is that whenever I download a flash file I either get an update file (UPDATE.APP contained in dload folder with no customization file) or an MTK flash file with MTxxxx Android scatter txt. Yet my phone is stuck in fastboot mode and it only bootloop (stuck at logo screen) whenever I power it on.

Any further help because I have tried the consulting Huawei customer service but to no vail, they just refer me to the Huawei website (just to read online staff).

Have you tried flashing board software as explained in method 2?

NRD90M test-keys this is not a firmware version. If you know that much about phone firmwares you should not even attempt to flash device on your own ever, better take it to gsm shop.
