I am still hanging with the the same problem and waiting for an update of DC Phoenix to address the issue. Even by test points the Board Software is not accepted as these test points are just for detection of phone.

I was trying to downgrade from ALP-AL00C00B336 to ALP-AL00C00B118.
After writing successfully asked for reboot!
And that's it!
Is definitely dead!
In Device manager I have USB SER when I connect my phone!
Any chance to get it back?
