do you have a multimeter? how do you connect testpoint?
You need to separately check the battery with a multimeter

I understood . But in order to flash board firmware, you need a charged battery

I'm sure battery is fully charged, it charges via USB and if I leave the phone connected it also gets hot

This does not mean that the battery is charged. In this state, the phone cannot charge it!
You need to check the battery voltage itself. I am sure the matter is in it.
                      And yes look PM
