  • Can't find compatible Stock ROM after brick repair (one day left )

    Hi,

I've got only one day left on dc-phoenix and can't figure out my problem

My european Honor 9 (STF-L09) got bricked while trying to update it (I'm pretty sure I was on Android 9).

I bought 15 credits and followed the tutorial "Huawei Bricked phone repair with DC Phoenix". Had to jump to the Method 3 because the others didn't work.

I started by rewriting OEMINFO with STF-L09, and selecting Bootloader "Kirin960_T2_A7.0_V4" (the only one that allows me to go to fastboot/rescue mode).

After that, I checked "Rescue recovery" and "Old slow algo" and flashed the dgtks file "STF-Full-Repair-NV-included-Board-A051-7.0.0_r1" which works perfectly, no error, and it allows me to boot into the Chinese "safe mode" ROM.

I always do these to steps before trying to flash the next ROMs, but anyway, none of them work. I tried every ROM that's on dc-phoenix database :
    - Stanford-L09_C432B130_Firmware_Belgium_Germany_France_Nethe rlands_Portugal_Switzerland_Spain_Italy_Austria_Po land_Denmark_Finland_Czech_Republic_Hungary.APP
    - Stanford-L09_C432B100a_Firmware_Belgium_Germany_France_Neth erlands_Portugal_Switzerland_Spain_Italy_Nonspecif ic.APP
    - Stanford-L09_8.0.0.385(C432)_Firmware_8.0.0_r1_EMUI8.0_0501 4NRL.APP
    - Stanford-L09_9.1.0.210(C432E2R1P5T8)_Firmware_9.0.0_r3_EMUI _9.1.0_05014NSS.APP
    - Stanford-L09_C900B103_Firmware_West_European_Nonspecific_An droid7.0_EMUI5.1.APP

None of them work, but they all have a different behavior :
    - for some, the installation will stop pretty quickly after "USB Device REMOVAL" and "looking for device in upgrade mode".
    - for others, the installation will proceed on the phone, "Installing the update", and then get stuck at 99%.
    - and for others, the worst of them all : the update fully installs, up to 100%, with the checkmark saying that the phone will now reboot, but it's jut bricked again and won't boot.

For almost all of them, I get errors like "partition length" or "image verification error".

I'm kinda desperate tbh. I wanted to try other firmware but they're all "Full OTA", and dc-phoenix doesn't seem to like them. And I don't know how to convert them, or even if it's a good idea.

    Thanks for your help !

After successfull board software you must repair mobile's numbers/data on HCU and only then flash full stock rom. Full ota won't solve your problem as it doesn't contain files necessary for phone to fully function.

That wasn't mentioned in the "Method 3" tutorial
Ok I'll download HCU, can I do that for free with the same account in HCU or do I have to pay for it, even though I bought credits for dc-phoenix ? I really can't invest more money :'(

Ok, I went ahead and bought a 72h HCU license (which would have gave me a free dc-phoenix, so money wasted).

Now after following your tutorials, it says that all the fields are gonna fill automatically, which isn't the case at all for me : all I have is my 3 IMEIs, the rest is blank. I don't understand how to repair my numbers/data

Edit : also, whenever I try to flash via fastboot mode, for some reason my phone doesn't stay in this mode, and after 10-15 seconds it exits and just boots, when dc-phoenix just started flashing. Any ideas ?

Oh my god, I figured it out. I had to use HCU indeed, but any ROM that's on dc-unlocker database wouldn't work still. I had to find the exact right Full OTA on Firmware Finder (I used the Windows app), which DC-Phoenix doesn't like, and had to update via HiSuite using this technique : https://www.reddit.com/r/Huawei/comm...10_pro_to_pie/

Thank you for your help Valdemaras. I'll write you a PM for a partial refund, because I bought 15 credits for DC-Phoenix before knowing I'd have to buy the HCU timed licenses, which gives access to DC-Phoenix as well.

It is mentioned in step 3. It is mentioned on top of dc-phoenix guide that we advise to purchase timed license at the very beginning to avoid extra expenses. I won't be able to do anything if account was used.
