  • Unlock bootloader Mate 20X 5G EVR-N29

I have been trying to unlock the bootloader of Huawei Mate 20X phones.
    I have Mate 20X(EVR-AL00) and Mate 20X 5G(EVR-N29).
First I bought an EVR-N29 and attempted to unlock the bootloader but failed.
So I thought something was wrong with this device to unlock the bootloader then I purchased another Mate 20X(EVR-AL00) just to get the model rooted.
Unfortunately, this phone also was unable to be unlocked, end up having two locked Mate 20X.
The exact model specs and procedure I took are as follows.

    1.Mate 20X 5G
    EVR-N29
    Android 9
    EMUI 9.11
    9.1.1.188(C636E2)

    2.Mate 20X(EVR-AL00)
    EVR-AL00
    Android 10
    EMUI 10.0.0
    10.0.0.188(C00E74R2P8)

First and foremost I could not recognize the devices with DCPhoenix v164, v170, and v174 (the DCPhoenixes freeze forever in the process of "Looking for devices by ports").
So I used DCPhoenix v158 which successfully recognized the devices.
And somehow I could not enable software testpoint on both devices. (even EVR-N29 which is installed on Android 9)
So I connect them to the PC with Hardware testpoint mode.

    As for EVR-N29, I could
    1. Succecefuly downgrade to Android 9
    2. Succecefuly connect the PC with hardware testpoint mode
    3. Unlock the bootloader in HCU where the log of the process describes that it is unlocked successfully.

But when I reboot the devices to bootloader mode to check the device is unlocked, it says the lock status is locked.
And I failed to install Magisk to get the device rooted.

    As for EVR-AL00,
First and foremost It could not be recognized with a normal USB cable so I connected it with a Harmony TP Cable.
And I failed to downgrade the device to Android 9 by HiSuite.Proxy with every Android 9 stock roms that I could find on the internet. (Probably because of the mismatch of vendor and country)
So I attempted to forcefully downgrade the device by rewriting vendor, country, and model using HCU/DCPhoenix since the device needs to be on Android 9 to make the bootloader unlocked. (Am I correct?)
But they failed to read the partition and oem info in the process of rewriting.

    The log is following:

    24/06/16 13:28:15
    HCU Client v1.0.0.0382
    Account: zjapam

Before operation turn phone to TestPoint mode:
Turn off phone, then short TestPoint on phone pcb
    and plug USB cable
Wait for device "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0" in Ports

What else can I do to unlock the bootloader of the devices?
You said Mate 20X can be unlocked.
Since I have consumed so much money and time, I would like a refund if it is impossible.
    Thank you,

Unfortunately, rewriting vendor and country and model by using our software will not work if android version 10 or higher. This is clearly written on instructions and on service list.
We can not assist you regarding Magisk because it is not our software. Also, we do not have service or information regarding this model downgrade.

      What about Mate 20X 5G EVR-N29 then?
It is Android 9, being connected properly (hardware testpoint), done as instructed properly, the log said it's unlocked but still locked.
Is there anything wrong with my procedure?
      Did I miss something?

Do you have the process log from the software as previously? As well as a picture of the fast boot screen of the phone after unlock has been done?

I already uploaded the fastboot screen after unlocking it. Here is the log test (the same as in the picture.) 20240608_191707_HCU_XloaderRepair_270C021BA7F6228.txt

If bootloader remains locked then only thing that can cause it is Android version being too high.

              It is Android 9.0.
What else should I install to get it unlocked?

Nothing else is necessary only the lowest Android available for it as for any Kirin980 CPU-based mobile.

This is the lowest Android for the device.
The device is on the list of devices that can be unlocked.
I wouldn't purchase the license if it is impossible.
                  I would like a refund.
