HERE is right solution to get phone U8160 readable in DC-unlocker software:

Press power shortly AND after 1-3 second press AND KEEP power, volume UP and volume down wait in this position 10 seconds,
release buttons and connect phone to PC.
Android 1.0 appear in down right corner.
Now you can instal drivers from "PULSE" directory that you allready downloaded.

Have discover it on my own. NOone know how to explain it clarly.

On my previous post I gave the instructions link. There also was a link to all drivers you need. And if you followed the instructions step-by-step, you would unlocked this phone.

Well... it seems need to press VOLUME UP and DOWN and connect USB cable, then HUAWEI Technologies appears in device manager
BUT not accepting any drivers (original from phoneCD or from "PULSE") even if i do procedure on my own choice.

There is no any button at front panel. Only Volume up and down on right side and POWER.

U8160 haven't red button... When power with volume up and down phone run with pink screen and Huawei Technologies appears in device manager.
But drivert not much for it.

Any advice?

Try Home button instead of Red button.

Mine Was Unlocked Out of the Box!

I bought mine this Monday from Vodafone in Dublin (59.99 EUR.)

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to unlock it, then, just for the hell of it, I put in a non-VoDafone SIM, and it worked fine!

So, the moral of the story is, before you try to unlock the phone, make sure it is locked!

Well i try everything...change pc, change cable, change port Usb..etc etc..

press VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON+POWER BUTTON
Phone will hang at start-up with an image of a hourglass/sandglass/sand timer/sand clock Insert cable, load drivers, detect phone and unlock

I use W.Xp sp3..BUT I INSTALL THE W.7 DRIVERS and work PERFECT..
Unlock sucess. .2 credits consume . anyway is UNLOCK..Thanks team.

Use autodetect.
Use other use port that connects direct to motherboard.
Use other usb cable.
Try other drivers.
Try other computer.
