Huawei U8160/ Vodafone 858 Smart unlocked successfully. Epic update Dc-Unlocker team

Procedure is the same as explained above by the very helpful Vincentas
Except that you press VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON+POWER BUTTON

Phone will hang at start-up with an image of a hourglass/sandglass/sand timer/sand clock
Insert cable, load drivers, detect phone and unlock

Well i try everything...change pc, change cable, change port Usb..etc etc..

I use W.Xp sp3..BUT I INSTALL THE W.7 DRIVERS and work PERFECT..

Firstly, thanks for all this info - I have managed to unlock my phone after a few struggles. I'll share my experience, in case this helps, especially when it comes to firmware version.

Got my phone from Vodafone Ireland, the system info showed the following:
Baseband version: 22201010
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build number: U8160V100R001C02B617

Installed DC Unlock software on my netbook with Windows 7 Starter. Followed all instructions to put phone into the correct mode by pressing the 3 buttons (worked), then Windows found the drivers by itselt and successfully installed (checked this in Device Manager) and when connected my phone, but it couldn't be detected. Tried this 20 times at least (restarted netbook, restarted phone....you name it)....But nothing!
Then found this thread and from comments I understood that my firmware was not suitable for this.
However, before doing anything with firmware, I decided to try it on my macbook where I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed.
- installed the DC unlock software
- put phone into the 3-button mode (whatever you call it)
- Windows failed to install the driver (tried looking for it, but didn't find)
- checked which Windows 7 I have, it is 64-bit and donwloaded the correct driver from one of the links in this thread
- unplugged the phone
- put it into the 3-button mode again
- connected it to the laptop
- went into Device Manager and using the Update driver, installed the Driver from the folder
- opened the DC Unlocker and.....it DETECTED MY PHONE!!!!!
I then purchased credits and unlocked my phone however during the unlock the software indicated that the firmware version I have is in fact U8160V100R001C02B618_EFS!
My phone is unlocked now and phone system info still shows U8160V100R001C02B617, so I am not sure what it is all about.
Btw, I have also used a diff cable, just in case - the Samsung one from Samsung Jet fitted perfectly, but i doubt the other cable was broken as it works fine to connect phone to pc or to charge it.

I didn't find exact 618 version , instead I wrote 619, 620 621 622 623 625

BUT same story, cannot detect entirely.
where to download 618?

You need to change firmware version, not android version.
for example: U8160V100R001C02B618_EFS
