Huawei K3520 ON VODAFONE UK.

Hi,
I have the above usb dongle modem and to be honest i am fairly new to this flashing upgrading etc..
I have run the dc-unlocker and basically it reads as follows, could someone tell me if this is already unlocked to accept any sim from what i have posted, it says unlocked but is it..(seems odd that vodafone would send a new modem out unlocked)..

If anyone has a tutorial or advice what i should do to improve this dongle please reply.

Yes, it's right!...your Vodafone UK Huawei K3520 (alias Huawei E169) are unlocked.
To remove dashboard limitation of VMC for other network operator, you need to install into modem the original Huawei Mobile Partner dashboard (and you find also voice-call feature)
You can also upgrade firmware to version 11.314.17.00.00 to improve modem

Firmware upgrade (or downgrade) is not safe.
Please dont use this if you not sure you need it .

yeah thanks..i have flashed it higher and lower again, and all has been ok, you just have to be really carefull not to remove the device before its finished, when i first flashed it the damm thing seemed as if it had locked up, but it was just taking a long time to complete the flash......

Huawei E 169 on Austrian A1 Vodafone

Is this correct : E169 is K3520 ?
it is not locked ?
However it not accepts Sim from Italian Wind !

How should I proceed to get accepted this Sim ?

Hi, this firmware version (11.314.17.00.00) is both for E169 and K3520.
It installs verywell into K3520 with NO password asked.
