Gotta say it's the tidiest dashboard I've seen so far - sits perfectly on my netbook. You can essentially uninstall the rest.

As mohaaaamd posted... I am also prompted for a password when upgrading the firmware. It evidently isn't my WiFi password.
Do I need to unlock the device first?

(It is T-Mobile Sonic 4G version. T-Mobile have fallen over themselves trying to help unlock it with long email exchanges in which I provided various pieces of info multiple times but in the end the show stopper seems to be a claim that they didn't get an unlock code for this device from Huawei. Anyway - maybe currently illegal to unlock in the US but I am leaving soon and will probably try that then).

[I am hoping there may be some improvement in the firmware - e.g. it would be really nice if mime type was sent when opening files on the SDCard - then I could play music using JPlayer on the PC as well as the iPad]
