would i be able to unlock E220 with this? also when i am installing the dc unlocker it is giving me an error it keeps saying " the exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x75e0d36f.

No, you will not be able to unlock free. This modem unlock is not free.

Try to use other dc-unlocker version, try other computer. Maybe this will help.
