i got a icon 225 that needs the same treatment... unbranding. its currently and horribly branded for "telenor" sweden.

                    superfire log:
8.252: Cg: Supported card Racer72 detected with hardware ID [USB\VID_0AF0&PID_6971&REV_0000] & devnode 0xbc0
                    15.896: CPagePreparation:o, product: Icon 225.
                    15.896: CPagePreparation:o, code: GI0225-11160.
                    15.896: CPagePreparation:o: unsupported card (GI0225-11160).

                    dcu log:
                    Model : iCON 225
                    IMEI : 359741xxx
                    Serial NR. : DR2984xxxx
                    Firmware : 2.5.23Hd

also, is there a guide for the editing? i probably need to unbrand more of theese

If you ask me for spending my free time on your modem, I assume, you know what information is necessary.

Im not sure, but i suspect the superfire log would be enough? Im hoping i could help people out with this later on and give something back to the other guy's, thats why im asking if there is a howto or details that explains the modification process for the installer/patch.

Heres my logfiles, firstone taken from the software updater, the second for the firmware. I guess it doesnt matter though.
