Problem unlocking Option 431

Hi,

I tried to unlock my Option 431 dongle using the dc-unlocker software. It detected the modem and allowed me to unlock (for 10 credits) but then gave an error 24 message and the unlock failed. I tried again and got the same error 24, and then unplugged the dongle and plugged it back in and it's not recognised at all. Have I lost the 10 credits?

Unlocking same modem again does not need credits. You have not lost credits. Try restarting and unlocking again. Be sure use latest dc-unlocker version, use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software and no other modem is connected to the computer at same time.

You are correct - I didn't need any more credits. I rebooted and installed the drivers that were included with the dc-unlocker program, then re-ran the unlock and it worked.

Yes,I am sure I did as you suggested.
I uninstall the Globetrotter connect ,only install the deriver in DC-unlocker folder.
I tried to reboot for many times.
still not help.

Could you try unlocking on other computer ?

when the progress bar goes to 50%,
the divice reboots,
then system found a New hardware GlobeTrotter HSUPA Modem
can't install the driver both automatic mode or manually apoint to the dc-unlocker folder
I think this is where the problem is in.
Any idea?

The problem is that the Globetrotter HSUPA Modem driver is missing. Usually it should install from modem. Try to check at option web site, maybe you can find the driver there. Without is dc-unlocker can not unlock the device, thats why you receive error.

but most of these ICON 431 modems can be unlocked no problem.
only some of them can't be unlocked
almost 1/10 of them have this problem.
that is what I am confused about.

the driver I am using is downloaded from official site of option.
could you help me find driver of this "new" hardware?
