Would be nice to see a "Voice deactivate" feature on your next software release
Yeah! I've got company now. I just pop up an idea... maybe you can make a poll asking members to cast their votes.
3 choices: 1. Agree 2. Disagree 3. Make no difference
Thanks

DC-Unlocker guy's: Thank you for adding the Deactivate Voice feature in the latest dc-unlocker client software version 1.00.0252
Some Dialogue Flybook laptops do support the voice feature function for the MC8775 WWAN module.Originally posted by Wittencan we actually make/receive a phone call since they don't have available jack for headset? Or, we can just use laptop mic and speaker.

Purpose of Voice Feature
I recently unlocked my Sierra Wireless Aircard 880U device. Prior to this I was unaware of the Voice Feature. Could someone please inform me what the Voice Feature can be used for?
Also, does it matter whether the voice feature is activated or deactivated?
I use SJPhone to make VOIP calls (normally through ADSL), however when I am travelling and use the usb modem, I am unable to make calls using SJPhone/VOIP, although I can sometimes receive calls. Would activating the voice feature allow calls to be made?
Finally, why is Skype unaffected when using the usb modem (voice feature deactivated)?
OK, would appreciate you help on any of the questions above.
Many thanks.

Voice feature is mainly useful for models with headset jack available (eg. AC850,860,875 and mini pci modules). With headset, you can use this feature to make/receive call like gsm phone. Other than that, it may be useful for IVR services (dependent to operators) like checking balance, etc.Originally posted by marcos View PostI recently unlocked my Sierra Wireless Aircard 880U device. No, it doesn't matter.Originally posted by marcos View PostAlso, does it matter whether the voice feature is activated or deactivated?
No, it's different thing. VOIP needs (hi-speed) internet connection as a media, but voice feature (as mentioned) is a direct call through operator.Originally posted by marcos View PostI use SJPhone to make VOIP calls (normally through ADSL), however when I am travelling and use the usb modem, I am unable to make calls using SJPhone/VOIP, although I can sometimes receive calls.
