  • ZTE MF70 unlock issue - credit

    Hi there, I have downloaded your software, ran it with the modem (ZTE MF70) and have received this screen:

    ================================================== =================

    Unlocking, please wait ...

    Server message :
    Check prices at : http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy/user_prices

    Insufficient credits !

    Error code 61

    unlock failed !

    ================================================== =================

    checked through your website and it states free to unlock this modem, so I even went and purchased 1 credit for 1 EUR to try it and I get the same error. How many credits do you need to unlock the modem? Or am I doing something wrong ? Thanks

    Free unlimited is only if you have dc-unlocker dongle – a hardware key to dc-unlocker software. If you do not have this key, then you need top buy credits. You checked the price list that is for dc-unlocker dongle users. There is other list for other users. You can find list here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy/user_prices

      Hi and thanks for your reply I have worked out that it costs 7 credits. I have purchased this and believe I've successfuly unlocked the wireless modem.

      However now the modem is not recognised when I plug it into my laptop or PC. How I fix this? I can see other forums suggest to untick a box during the unlock process however I noticed this after I unlocked it.

      Please assist and thanks

        Please go to device manager and let us know how your device appears there, under which lines?

          Hi there, I have checked and it appears like this:

          DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1024

          Detecting modem :

          selection :
          manufacturer - ZTE modems
          model - Auto detect (recommended)

          Enabling ZTE modem driver... OK
          Waiting for ZTE modem...

          Found modem : MF70
          Model : ZTE MF70
          IMEI : 865401013462142
          Firmware : MF70_T05
          Compile date / time : Sep 20 2012 16:28:45
          Chipset : Qualcomm MSM8200A
          NAND Flash : HYNIX_H9DA1GH51
          SIM Lock status : unlocked

          ================================================== =================

          I have then read on this forum page: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=18866
          to try this - 'Try this out: Detect your device again with dc-unlocker and enter this command - "AT+ZCDRUN=F" (without quates) on white space in program window, press enter, reconnect/restart your device. Let us know if it helped. '

          I have done this and the following appears:
          AT+ZCDRUN=F

          exit download mode nv result(0:FAIL 1:SUCCESS):1
          OK

          However the laptop still will not detect the modem.

          I have then seen in another thread to 'disable diagnostic port', I have click on this and it shows the following:
          ================================================== =================

          Disabling ZTE diagnostic port ... OK

          Restarting modem ... OK

          Diagnostic port disabled !

          ================================================== =================

          Still no success it won't detect on the laptop. Please assist. Thanks.

              Hi there, this is what appears in the software (I paid the 7 credits and unlocked it already):

              or correct ZTE modem detection, please plug modem with invalid operator SIM inserted. Wait till software starts the modem, close ZTE software and then you can detect modem with DC-Unlocker.

              SIM Lock status : unlocked

              ================================================== =================

              I have read on this forum that you can enter a command and it should work: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=18866
              Which is 'Try this out: Detect your device again with dc-unlocker and enter this command - "AT+ZCDRUN=F" (without quates) on white space in program window, press enter, reconnect/restart your device. Let us know if it helped. '

              I have tried this and the following appears in dc unlocker:
              AT+ZCDRUN=F

              exit download mode nv result(0:FAIL 1:SUCCESS):1
              OK

              This hasn't fixed the issue, it wouldn't appear on the computer after this.

              I also then read that you should click on 'disable diagnostic port', clicked on this and the following appeared:
              Disabling ZTE diagnostic port ... OK

              Restarting modem ... OK

              Diagnostic port disabled !

              ================================================== =================

              This didn't fix it either... please assist, I really need this up and running asap

                Apparently if you were able to detect device then it is visible by pc. Could you be more specific whats not working?

                  Hi, the device will not sure up on my laptop, I've even tried this on my PC... ie the actual USB wireless stick itself can't be detected on the PC/laptop. It makes the usual sounds of it being plugged in and out, but won't come up anywhere on the PC.

                    Device can be visible on my computer under cdroms or in device manager as it is in your case. So nothing really has to come up after you connect it to pc as it is accessed via web gui/panel.

                      Hi, let me explain further, when I plug the device in, it states it is 'running WebGUI' then approximately 30 mins, then another bubble appears saying 'Timeout please try again'.

                      Before unlocked it this used to work properly.

                      If I manually click on the 'WebGUI' icon on my PC (that was installed by the USB stick' it navigates to http://m.home/ and then comes up with 'this page cannot be displayed' I have also tried the 192.xxxx address in an internet explorer bar. Still nothing.

                        If you can not access device from web panel - http://192.168.0.1 check if it is visible by Join air unbranded connection software. Also let us know if device still appears in device manager under modems/ports lines.

                          Hi there, I have downloaded join air from http://www.*********, this is what it tells me when my modem is plugged in:
                          'Not Found' & 'Device is disconnected'

                          I have checked Device Manager and I don't have an option for modems/ports lines. Can it be under something else?

                            To check how it appears in device manager you can simply reconnect device to pc and see what new lines appears there while the device manager window is open. You might want to check My computer place, maybe your device appears under cdroms?

                              Hi, I have tried this and nothing extra pops up in device manager. When I go to My Computer it doesn't appear as a CD drive with software or anything else. The laptop makes noises to indicate it plugged in/pulled out but won't show up anywhere.

                              Should I maybe reset the device? how can I do this? will it loose the unlock?

                              I need this fixed asap please
