Unlocker doesn't recognize that a working dongle is present.

I have been in discussion with the help people who gave me a link to a 'live' person but the link just came to this forum. I have followed the unlock instructions but the dongle is not deteted by the software. Help please!!

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

Ok. Do this:
1. Right click on "Vodafone Mobile Broadband Modem (ZTE)">Properties and find what COM port it uses.
2. Launch DC-Unlocker, select manufacturer ZTE Modems, model K3570-Z.
3. Select Application port that you found in 1st step, Diagnostic port select COM4.
4. Then try to detect your modem.

This might be the problem why you cannot detected your modem. You have to make sure that the modem which are you trying to unlock is not connected to internet and modems connection software is turned off.

That is what i thought so I made sure that the vodafone softare wasn't running. I inserted an Orange SIM into the dongle, I checked that the vodafone software was not running and then inserted the dongle I started the unlocker software and followed the instructions. Still no luck.

Are you sure that you do not use the same modem for internet?

In order to talk to you I have to remove the SIM for the Orange network which I using to try and unlock the dongle. I am using the vodafone SIM so that we can talk not to test.

OK, but you need an internet connection at the unlock process. If you use the same modem for internet connection and trying to unlocking it - then you will not be able to do that.
