If you use a modem for internet and trying to detect it - this might be the reason why your modem is not being detected.

If I remove the dongle
Remove the SIM
Close all vodafone software
Insert a foreign SIM into the dongle
Insert the dongle into the netbook
Wait for the drivers to load
Ensure that vodafone software is still closed
Enter values into the unlocker
The modem is not detected
