That's because you haven't logged into software on server tab first.

Hello! I have Huawei p9, european version. At first I bricked my phone totally, not fun to talk about I downloaded right stock firmware (HUAWEI_P9_Firmware_EVA-L09_Android 6.0_EMUI 4.1.1_C432B182_Western Europe.zip), extracted the zip-file and saved in on computer, extracted recovery from UPPDATE.APP with Huawei extracor, flashed recovery. img in fastboot, used DC Phoenix to install saved UPPDATE.APP. Had to repeat once, found to big joy that phone was unbricked!

and what functions did your phone have when it was bricketed

you could access the 3 button menu
or it just restarted without being able to load it and only accessed in fastboot mode?
