Already managed to crack it - had to modify the FW update software to enable diagnostic mode -> then the ZTE Modem appeared in the device list and then the DC-unlocker worked.

I bought credits as DC-unlocker claims to be able unlock the MF61 - but now I have no use for the credit!

ZTE Modem not in Device Manager ...

Hello, anyone has solution for this problem ???
To re-iterate - under Windows 7 64-bit - dc-unlocker run in administrator mode
- it's ZTE MF61 device (T-mobile US)
- should be possible to unlock but the DC-Unlocker doesn't detect it as ZTE Modem.
- tried on many DC-Unlocker versions: 1045, 1034, 0889, 0664
- If you do auto-detection as ZTE Phone you will get:
correctly read IMEI / Fimrware Version (BD_MF61V1.0.1B04) / Chipset (Qualcomm MSM8200A) / UserLock Code (0000)
- if you do auto-detection as ZTE Modem - it won't detect the ZTE modem and will report that it's not supported.
- The problem might be - that in Device Manager - there is no ZTE Modem Device detected ... I tried some older drivers to get anything like "ZTE Proprietary Modem" installed in device manager -> nothing helped. Tried adding manually but couldn't make it working. If I install the drivers from the CD-ROM (after I attach the MF61 via USB) - it detects following devices in Device Manager:
3 COM ports - T-Mobile AT, T-Mobile NDIS AT and T-Mobile Diagnostic
1 Network Device - 1 WiFi T-Mobile Ethernet Adapter (even tried to disable this device)
1 CD Rom Device - T-Mobile CD-Rom (with drivers)
1 Storage Device - it's the SD card inside the ZTE M61
Tried to supply various COM port combinations manually to the DC-unlcoker (specifying MF61 modem as device type -> didn't help - cannot communicate with modem.
BTW: If I click on "Enable Diagnostic Port" in Unlocking Section of DC-Unlocker I am getting an error -> Cannot write to port ...
What should I do with those credits I bought if I can't use them on my MF61 device which suppose to work ???
I even tried to follow some advices from this thread - https://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=14936 > but it didn't helped much.

If I connect the MF61, it overrides my wireless connection and lose internet. I have to be hard wired to Ethernet to maintain internet connectivity and have access to the MF61. To do your offline test, I simply unplugged my Ethernet cable for my network card and left the MF61 plugged in. It made no difference.
To work with wireless while your mf61 is connected you should check adapter binding settings like here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/b683-det...dapter-binding make sure your device connection is on the bottom of the list, then reconnect mf61 to pc or restart pc for settings to apply.

Device is connected via USB.
Like the other user in this thread, DC Unlocker will detect is as unknown ZTE phone, but it will not detect as modem.

Also it is worthy to try to run our software as administrator, by clicking right mouse button on DC-Unlocker -> Run as... and select "run as administrator” and only then try to detect device.

When I tried to manually detect the device, I entered port numbers that are in the device manager. It actually shows 3 ports.
MF61 does not appear in the "Network Adapters" portion of the device manager. The device that shows is "T-Mobile Wireless Ethernet Adapter".
I do not have any hardware in the "Modems" category.
