  • Hi
I am a bit confused about DC-Unlocker being able to do bootloader unlock on P10 Plus Model: VKY-L09 Build number: VKY-L09 8.0.0.327 (C654)
On the DC-Unlocker webpage warning says it is not supported (Huawei P10 plus VKY-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported), but some users on XDA say it worked for them.
So, which one is it? Not updated webpage or users not exactly knowing what they are doing?
Is there any other way to unlock the bootloader on this firmware?
    Thanks

About 99% that it won't work. Some are lucky since their mobiles run old security.

Thanks. What exactly means "run old security" ?
Is Build number: VKY-L09 8.0.0.327 (C654) considered old security?

Android 8 runs new security 99% of the time.

          • Hello hope someone can help.
ok so I bought DC Phoenix which is a great program and done online chat too which was very helpful and managed to flash a stock ROM. BUT when it wanted step 2 (the phone to be put in upgrade mode) wasn't sure it was going to do this for me or it wanted me to do this, but either way I cannot get the phone into upgrade mode by holding the volume up and volume down key + power
it just power cycles or keep the huawei logo on the screen and eventually gives options like factory default and wipe cache etc.
Decided to flash it in advanced mode with DC phoenix and it claims successful and doesn't ask for upgrade mode but now booting the phone gives#
Your device has failed verification and may not work properly

            (1) Press power key to continue - tried and just reboots to the same
            (2) Press Volume Up key up to 3 seconds to enter recovery to restore your device - does nothing
            (3) Your device will stop start if there is no operation

Can still boot into Fastboot mode

I'm stuck, anyone can offer help please?
My phone is Asia firmware NXT-L29C636 so I've used stock that claims to be for that region. but I see if DC Phoenix log a mention of Build number: NXT-C900B170
            Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29

Is that what DC Phoenix is detecting that's it just now?

Not quite understand the question. If it says on software that it's not supported or chipset not supported then it may be due to security difference.

                • Uploading takes longer in case of ale-l21, by fastboot method phone does not get up, just uploading the method ( vol+ + vol - + pw) the phone uploads correctly and the phone starts up.In version 062 worked without a problem

After flashing using fastboot method ended Huawei eRecovery if use Installing update via USB everything is OK
